In 2020, COVID-19 spread throughout the world, and as of 5:00 p.m. on December 28th, 8,079,902 people were infected and 1,765,071 people died worldwide, while 221,412 people were infected and 3,100 people died in Japan (according to a count by Johns Hopkins University). In the spring of that year, in the midst of the declaration of a state of emergency, on a warm and sunny day in May, this corporation was born. We are a small organization, but we started with a seed of hope for the future. After completing graduate school, I have been a clinical practitioner for 18 years and an educator and researcher for 18 years. My colleagues in this organization include a doctor, a nurse, and clinical psychologists with extensive careers in clinical practice and research.
I have been studying family formation, development, and life cycle based on women’s life stages. In particular, I have been engaged in research and practice aimed at preventing child abuse and improving the lifelong quality of life of children and their families who have suffered from chronic diseases in childhood, especially childhood cancer. So far, I have gained valuable experience by placing myself in medical and educational institutions. From now on, in our capacity as a general incorporated association, we intend to not only continue our activities but also implement exciting projects.
We would like to learn together with practitioners in the field and young teachers through research activities, research support, production of teaching materials, family care case study meetings, lectures and seminars. In addition, we would like to help create a system in which the cycle of advancing research, building academic studies, and promoting practice can be efficiently managed. We would also like to emphasize cooperation with academic societies in related fields and take charge of activities that are beyond the reach of universities and academic societies. We will carry out our activities with the image that a single seed will take root, grow branches, and bear fruit, sowing multiple seeds in the land of the future. We hope that you will look forward to our activities and support us.
We sincerely hope that 2021 will be a year of rebirth for a new world.
